Musique Concrète for Harpsichord (2025)

This work is a piece of musique concrète constructed from recordings of a broken revival-era harpsichord. In contrast to the delicate and fragile Baroque harpsichord, revival-era instruments are heavy, robust, and metallic. I was inspired by the story of this once-ubiquitous instrument, now forgotten and left to decay in a sub-basement studio
